DBS, OCBC to enable QR code payments
Payments can be made on NETS terminals.
As part of efforts to introduce diverse payment options for consumers in Singapore, DBS and OCBC will soon launch cashless transactions via QR codes.
According to NETS, DBS PayLah! users will be able to make QR code payments on NETS terminals at a number of merchants across various categories including transport, retail, and F&B. Around 2,000 NETS terminals will be enabled with the capability in the next two months, and 10,000 by the end of the year.
Meanwhile, OCBC's Pay Anyone customers will be able to make QR code payments at selected merchants with NETS terminals from May onwards. Users can make payments of up to $1,000 per day.
