HSBC integrates personal information vault into credit card application process
Applicants won’t need to provide supporting documents anymore.
HSBC Bank (Singapore) has integrated government-backed digital personal information vault MyInfo to its digital credit card application process.
The integration means that applicants do not need to provide supporting documents like IDs or proof of income during the digital credit card application anymore. The seamless onboarding experience will be available to all credit card application channels including roadshows, branches, internet and Telesales.
“By tapping into MyInfo, our customers’ government-held personal data will automatically be populated into our online digital credit card application form,” said HSBC Bank (Singapore) head of digital Alvin Lim. “It not only makes it easier for customers, but also eliminates input errors which will enhance the quality of data that we receive, leading to improved operational efficiency.”
“The integration of our online and mobile credit card application platform to MyInfo is especially significant given we are leveraging a national initiative that our customers trust to make it easier for them to do business with us,” said HSBC Bank (Singapore) head of customer value management Matthias Dekan.
