East West bank introduces own debit card
New card suitable for families of Overseas Filipino Workers.
East West Banking Corporation has launched its EastWest-Visa Debit Card it says it said is an ideal cashless tool for families with relatives working overseas who regularly send remittances to the Philippines.
The new card will use the Visa Personal Payments (VPP) facility that allows remittance beneficiaries to receive funds through the debit card within minutes. The funds received can be withdrawn from over 1.9 million Visa-accepted automated teller machines worldwide.
The service is available for EastWest-Visa Debit cardholders who can receive remittances from places where the VPP is available.
The debit card can also be used for cashless shopping and for dining at any store or restaurant that accepts Visa cards, and for buying products online.
