RBS appoints Joseph Braitsch as head of futures and options for AsiaPac
He will also head the Electronic Futures Execution team.
In a release, The Royal Bank of Scotland plc (RBS) announced the appointment of Joseph Braitsch as Asia Pacific Head of Futures and Options business within RBS Prime Services; a business the bank expects to see significant growth in future, driven by market demand.
In addition to leading the Futures business, Mr. Braitsch will also head the Electronic Futures Execution team.
Commenting on the appointment, David Gray, Head of Prime Services, APAC said “Joseph brings with him a wealth of experience in the APAC listed futures and options markets and strong client relationship. His appointment will enhance our Prime Services franchise. This appointment also demonstrates the bank’s commitment to building a truly global execution and clearing platform.”
Mr. Braitsch joins RBS after spending nearly 12 years with UBS, where he was APAC Head of Futures & Options and Cash High Frequency and Japan Head of Exchange Traded Derivatives. Prior to that, he worked in Tokyo for about 6 years, including Global Project Manager and Senior Analyst at FNX Limited, and as International money broker at Meitan Tradition.
Mr. Braitsch will be based in Singapore, reporting to Mr Gray regionally and to Jeremy Wright, Global Head of Futures & Options.
He was born in Japan and speaks fluent Japanese. He graduated in Economics from University of California, San Diego
