DBS floats digital relief solutions for COVID-hit F&B businesses
Businesses will be able to establish an online presence within three business days.
DBS has announced digital solutions to support the F&B industry impacted by safe distancing measures brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The bank, together with two Singapore-based tech startups Oddle and FirstCom, will help F&B businesses set up an online food ordering site in just three business days. Supported by the IMDA and Enterprise Singapore, the relief package aims to help the industry go online whilst catering to the growing need for takeaway and delivery needs.
Oddle will establish a branded e-menu with integrated shopping cart, order management and payment gateways, as well as providing training and social media kits for merchants. FirstCom will offer merchants preferential rates for digital marketing services, and help businesses who do not have online presence set up one within five working days.
FirstCom will also integrate digital merchant collections platform DBS Max as a payments and collections option in their respective e-commerce solutions. DBS will absorb the set-up costs for DBS Max and waive merchant discount rates for six months for FirstCom customers adopting the service.
The relief package is expected to be available by the end-March.
