HSBC aims to become a top global bank for venture capital firms and startups, Reuters reported.
This goal follows the establishment of a significant team of technology and healthcare bankers in the United States, Hong Kong, and Israel, according to a senior executive.
HSBC, under the leadership of Michael Roberts, CEO of HSBC USA and Americas, is actively engaged in venture-type lending to Indian startup companies.

Additionally, the bank plans to expand its focus to Singapore.
"In many ways, this is the best time for us to establish this initiative, because we get to really grow with these companies as they continue to grow themselves." Roberts told Reuters.
