Philippines' BPI taps on IBM for $260m digital transformation plan
The firm will provide IT infrastructure to support an agile IT and hybrid cloud.
BPI has inked a $260m multi-year services agreement with IBM to speed up its digital transformation programme, according to a press release.
The deal will see IBM providing the bank with IT infrastructure services to support an agile IT and hybrid cloud as the New York company hosts the Philippine bank’s digital solutions.

IBM and BPI have also designed an IT environment that lends support to an open API economy strategy.
"The rapidly changing business environment requires us to accelerate the pace of our digital transformation. We need to continue to be responsive to an ever-changing market," Cezar P. Consing, BPI President and CEO said in a statement.
