RHB Bank ties up with Tokio Marine to roll out life insurance plan

The scheme has plans with premiums as low as $1.45.

RHB Bank Berhad has forged a partnership with Tokio Marine Life Insurance Malaysia Bhd to roll out a life insurance plan catering to low and middle income groups.

The “Perlindungan Tenang TokioMarine-StarterPack” features plans with premiums priced at $1.45 (RM6), $2.17 (RM9) and $3.62 (RM15) monthly to offer an immediate coverage of assured sums from $2,414 (RM10,000) to $12,070 (RM50,000) with no required medical check-up.

“Through this scheme, we hope to make life insurance more affordable and accessible, while encouraging greater financial inclusion among Malaysia’s underserved communities,” Nazri Othman, acting head for group retail banking, RHB Banking Group said in a statement.

The bank has also pledged to channel every RM5 from every purchased policy during the campaign period of September 1 to 30 to charitable causes.
