Citi focuses on rich Filipinos
Says wealth management services becoming more popular.
Some 7 out of 10 respondents to the Citi Financial Quotient Survey expressed preference for global and regional banks. This affinity increased with the amount of retirement savings set aside.
About 92% want to be able to access all of their finances when traveling or out of the country, while 78% are keen to pursue global investment opportunities.
The survey showed that when choosing their financial partner, Filipinos look for a bank that makes banking convenient with online services and round the clock access.
The annual Citi Fin-Q is an online survey that measures the financial quotient of consumers across seven countries, including the Philippines.
Citi is the largest wealth manager in Asia with about US$210 billion in assets under management, serving over 696,000 clients.
