Lim is currently the COO of DBS’ Institutional Banking Group.
DBS has appointed Lim Chu Chong as president director of PT Bank DBS Indonesia beginning August, subject to regulatory approval.
Lim is the current chief operation officer (COO) of the Institutional Banking Group (IBG). In his new role, he will now be a part of DBS’ Group Management Committee.
His successor, Lim, has over 25 years of experience in institutional, SME and consumer banking. Lim previously served as commissioner of DBS Indonesia prior to becoming IBG COO.

Between 2016 and 2019, he was Head of DBS IBG China. Prior to that, he was Regional Head of SME Banking.
Lim succeeds Paulus Sutisna, who has held the role of president director of DBS Indonesia since 2015. Sutisna was key to expanding the Indonesian franchise and transforming it into a leading digital player, according to DBS. He particularly oversaw the integration of ANZ Indonesia’s consumer and wealth business with DBS in 2018, and the launch of digibank Indonesia in 2017.
Sutisna will be appointed as Non-Independent Commissioner of DBS Indonesia in due course, DBS said in a press announcement.
