KTB reveals measures to unburden customers
Krung Thai has determined remedies to soften the impact from the political unrest on clients. The bank will be extending the repayment period, use principal waiving, and set the financial amount as a circular capital worth over 5 billion baht. It will also provide the head office and branches in Bangkok, places for customers to sell their goods.
Mr. Apisak Tantivorawong, President, Krung Thai Bank PCL. disclosed that the Bank was concerned about customers whom were adversely affected by political protest. Therefore, every related department will closely monitor and take good care of clients so that they will be fully helped. In addition, the Bank has specified 3 methods to relieve customers, in line with an impact they got, for their quick recovering.
The Bank is going to consider an adverse effect to find a proper method. The first method, Krung Thai Bank will extend the repayment period: repaying less principal in accordance to customers' solvency or current cash flow. The second measure allows them to be exempted from paying principal for six-month period. The third method is for the customers who were seriously affected. The bank offers the customers to pay interests partially, the rest will be suspended for 6-12 months. Moreover, it has set up the financial amount to be a circular capital worth over 5 billion baht or approximately 153.58 million.
Mr. Apisak Tantivorawong further states that Krung Thai Bank is going to hold "Return Happiness, Restore Hope and Bring Out Smiles" campaign, providing spaces at the Sukhumvit head office and branches in Bangkok for retail customers, who were hit directly, to sell their products as primary losses relief.
