Security Bank's Abigail Casanova to talk about digitalisation in consumer loans at the 2018 Retail Banking Forum in Manila

Abigail Casanova, Security Bank’s head of consumer business and operations group, will be a speaker at the Manila leg of the Retail Banking Forum 2018, to be held in Manila on 28 February at the Shangri-La Makati.
The brief interview below reveals her background, business philosophies, and more.
What are your previous experiences and positions held that contributed to who you are as a banker today?
I have been in the consumer loans and credit cards business for over 20 years assuming various senior roles in Credit, Collections & Operations and also running the Consumer Finance business.
I was exposed to both multinational and domestic banks starting from Citibank, GE Money, BDO, and currently Security Bank. Right now, I’m heading Security Bank and SB Finance’s Consumer Business and Operations.
What are your key business philosophies?
Always remember the customer in whatever project, initiative, direction your business is going to take. Then be innovative in solutions, move with agility and execute with precision.
Can you give us a glimpse of what you will share at the panel discussion at the ABF Retail Banking Forum in Manila?
I will be talking about the evolution of digitalisation in consumer loans and what still needs to be done. I will also discuss how banks can learn from the fintech companies.
