Siam Commercial Bank seeks tapping corporate customers
Lender sees high-value financial services as vital scheme to strengthen bank’s profitability amidst fierce competition.
Siam Commercial Bank plans to provide high-value services for corporate clients to drive income amidst tough competition in the segment, says Arthid Nanthawitthya, a senior executive vice-president.
The bank would concentrate on offering financial solutions packages for large customers. The strategy would aim to increase margins in terms of both interest and fees at a time when the market is becoming increasingly price competitive. Demand for exclusive financial services of corporate customers has increased, he said.
"Large businesses want to use one bank that offers all the financial service solutions for a given project. ... [Offering these services] would be win-win strategy for both [customers and the bank]," he said.
"Customers would receive greater satisfaction from the terms and conditions of the financial services, while the bank can get better income from the full-range financial package.
